Food and Lodging Service from the Hyde County Health Department

Food, Lodging and Institutions– inspection and evaluation of restaurants, meat markets, hotels, motels, bed and breakfast inns, bed and breakfast homes, jails, residential care facilities, resident camps, summer camps, schools, child care centers, adult day care facilities, and hospitals and nursing homes, to ensure rules and regulations are being followed. We also permit temporary food vendors who plan to prepare and sell food for special events such as festivals and fairs.  This program also conducts food safety education classes for food service workers, both in Hyde County and to assist surrounding counties.
