Adult Health Service at the Hyde County Health Department

Provides chronic disease detection through health care screening services and routine examinations, plus immunizations for adults.

Services Include:

Cancer screenings – breast and cervical through the Breast & Cervical Cancer Control Program, testicular, and prostate.

Cardiovascular screenings – hypertension for all populations, cholesterol screenings for females enrolled in the WiseWoman Program

Tuberculosis skin testing – for a small fee, skin tests are provided upon request. Certain populations receive skin tests for FREE.

Immunizations – Tetanus-Diphtheria, Hepatitis A & B, Flu, Pneumonia, Measles, Mumps, and Rubella for those that qualify.

How are services paid for?

Self payment (most services are based on a sliding fee scale, determined by family size and income)
