For 70 years,
the Health Department has led the way
in responding to the health care needs
of Hyde County residents.
Our mission is to
protect, preserve and promote the health
of the residents of Hyde County.
The many varied
programs that can be accessed here
include disease prevention and control,
preparedness and response to emergent
diseases and events, environmental
health, home health, in-home aide,
medication assistance, WIC nutrition and
supplemental food, and personal health
programs, such as family planning and
child health. Some of our programs
reach across county lines, such as home
health and the medication assistance
program, to provide the same quality of
care to others.
The Health
Department’s caring and professional
staff is comprised of registered nurses,
environmental health specialists, nurse
practitioners, pharmacists, physical
therapists, occupational therapists,
billing clerks, medication technicians,
nursing assistants, chore providers and
management personnel.
It is our goal to
always leave our clients and patients
knowing we have assisted them in some
way.
